I’m posting this as the beginning of an experiment. Having fallen out of love with an app that ran off into the metaverse, I’m going to post once a week here in the way I post there. To see if it scratches the itch I still have for Old Instagram.
I like this hastily snapped image because it feels like bog standard, not-very-good Old Insta but also records a moment between summer and autumn. With my non-corporeal self hovering over them both, kind of unsure of which foot to put down. I also love that the top of my head is open and merging with the ground. Very me. (Another wave to Human Design which tells me my head centre is “open”. Hmmmmm.)
That’s about caption length for me so I’ll just leave it here. All still ‘n’ square ‘n’ everything.
Edited to add: my head being open to the earth is in no small way thanks to the mighty James Lovelock who travelled on, yesterday, on his 103rd birthday. Thank you James.
Too funny, I've been wondering if Substack could be used in similar fashion to what I've always loved about Instagram: good old-fashioned visual storytelling and proper 'insta' moments. So I'm glad for your experiment! P.S. Feel free to talk more about HD, I am quite fascinated/sceptical myself. (I'm a 3/5 Projector btw 😉)
I gave up on Instagram over a year ago now. Best decision. Having found Substack has definitely been a blessing. You still get the community element. And you can pretty much make your space into whatever you desire.
Happy experimenting!
